The VSI Project
The SCHA consistently looks
for ways to reach students and initiates a wide array
of efforts to recruit more people into healthcare careers,
to ensure adequate educational resources are available,
and make hospitals the employer of choice for new graduates.
ConstantNow produced a series of videos to accompany the
SCHA's innovative "Virtual Surgery Insider Project"
as part of this effort. By documenting a cardio thoracic
surgery team from Self Regional Healthcare, students heard
first hand why they chose their careers and they learned
about the challenges and rewards of each career as well
as the educational requirements. This video and the virtual
surgery makes a big impression on the students and their
teachers, bringing kids into hospitals and ultimately
into healthcare careers.
This project included:
- Interview-based video documenting the teamwork and background
of a heart surgery team
- A behind-the-scenes documentary of a VSI Project event
with student reactions
- Open heart surgery documentary featured as part of the
statewide broadcast and live surgery team interaction
with students |
